Starting from May 2022, Codeasy will offer dedicated support from one of the Senior Software Developers in our network. To use it you should be at the “Mentor” subscription level.
Is mentor help the right choice for me?
Becoming a programmer is fun but is sometimes a tough process. You need allies to make this journey, and the best allies are those who have already made it and can help you learn from their mistakes. If you have a friend or a teacher who can answer your programming-related questions, great! Use their help when you get frustrated. If you don’t have such a person, we highly recommend you to subscribe for mentor help in Codeasy. Our mentors are experienced and can help you when you get stuck on the hardest lessons.
How does the mentor help work?
There are two types of mentor help: text-based and video call.
-
Text-based mentor help: After you subscribe for a text-based mentor help on our prices page, we will create a dedicated private channel and email you the link. As soon as you have any questions, you can ask them there, and we guarantee that you will receive an answer within 24 hours from one of our mentors. The limit is 5 short questions per day or 1-2 more detailed conversations. It is ok to ask more, but you may receive the answers the next day.
-
Video-based mentor help: This level of subscription includes two 15-minute slots of audio or video calls via Google Meets per week. In total, this is two hours per month. Once you subscribe, we will email you the information about the available mentors and the link to book appropriate time slots in their calendars. You will get a free 15-minute introductory call with your mentor to get to know each other better and for them to understand where you are at in your studies. To get the most out of your time with a mentor, prepare the questions you have, and be ready to share the screen to show your code.
What is included in the mentor support?
You can ask any questions related to the Codeasy programming tutorial and even ask for an explanation of topics or task solutions. If your question is outside the course curriculum, we can’t guarantee that our mentors will know the answer right away, but we will do our best to answer them.
Why not use a standard Codeasy forum instead of text-based mentor help?
Sometimes you post a question and don’t get an answer from the community. Sometimes you get an answer, but the person who answers is unsure themselves. Sometimes you don’t want everyone to see your question, and you want to freely ask many “stupid” questions. There are many reasons why some people choose text-based mentor help. With our mentors, you are sure that the person who answers you has enough knowledge in programming, you are guaranteed to receive an answer within 24 hours, and nobody will see your conversation.
